Originally from Naples, Roberta is a professional dancer, choreographer, and teacher based in Berlin.
She studied dance since she was a child and graduated in ballet and contemporary dance (Naples, 2005)
She furthered her artistic education, in Europe and South America, studying contemporary dance, contact-improvisation, theatre and improvisation with renowned teachers/choreographers from all over the world.
In 2009, she attended the MCS – research study on the movement and new dance – held by the Compagnia Danza Flux (Naples).
She studied Cultural Production at the UFF of Rio de Janeiro, a city where she deepened the study of Contact Improvisation ( 2010-2011).
She also studied acrobatics at the Die Etage -Schule fur die Darstellenden Künste (Berlin, 2011).
Furthermore, she achieved with the highest mark the Master Degree in Cultural Heritage Management (University Federico II of Naples, 2012).
She took part in the performance project Passing Through by David Zambrano (Biennale di Venezia, 2014).
Since 2008, Roberta has been working as a freelance artist in dance, theatre and circus projects.
She worked with Romeo Castellucci, Lionel Menard, Bob Rutman, Dancevertise, Dulce Compania, Anna Redi, Cia. Körper, among others. She has performed in many important theaters and festival in Naples, Venice, Rome, Turin, Madrid, Amsterdam, Montpellier, Marseille, Paris, Sarajevo, Berlin and Rio de Janeiro.
She has participated as well in many other independent projects involving video dance and photography as a performer and choreographer.
Since 2012, she has been teaching expressive movement at the Festival della Filosofia in Magna Grecia (Italy/Greece).
Since 2015, she has been teaching Research of movement at the Die Etage School (Berlin).
She is currently working for the Philarmonie of Luxembourg as main dancer/actress in the show Les Neiges de l’Algarve.
